Mailouts will be shipped in February, May, August, and November.
Make sure you have an active subscription by the 1st of the shipment month! Mailouts will be shipped by Canada Post lettermail mid-month, and you should receive your package by end of month. There is no tracking – if there’s a problem with your shipment please contact us at hello+fernclub@swordfern.org and I’ll make it right.

By joining the Fern Club, your membership directly funds:

• All costs associated with putting together mailouts: shipping, zine design, printing, etc.
• Honoraria for the artists, poets, and facilitators we bring into our spaces
• Food and snacks at our events, because we love feeding our community
• Venue costs that keep our programming accessible
• Our operating costs, tools, materials, and working toward the day we can properly compensate our team for their work
• And more programming to come!

With your support, you’ll directly make the work we do possible – which is to equip our communities with the emotional and spiritual skills needed to navigate through the climate crisis.

Did you know that our collective fully runs on a combination of small grants, goodwill, volunteers, and hundreds of hours of unpaid labour? The events we’ve been able to organize (such as The Art of Change, climate death cafés, and climate trivia nights) are free or low-cost to participants and we want to keep it that way!

The Fern Club is a way for us to continue our work without always relying on grants cycles and volunteer labour. A membership means more stability in our operations – and it means we can give our members a little something in return.
