It’s been a year. With the new year right around the corner, I invite you to join me in unpacking and processing through 2024 to get us in the right space for 2025. Now is the time to let go of what needs to be released, and prepare for a new chapter.
Hello, my name is Victor (he/they) and I am sending out this invitation to anyone interested in doing a bit of reflection and journaling. For the past 6 years I’ve been using YearCompass, a guided journal that helps you reflect on the year and plan the next one. Forget new year resolutions and join me in a YearCompass session! YearCompass takes about 2 hours to do and is an individual activity, however, feel free to respond to some group questions during the afternoon.
All materials will be provided, including a printed booklet, tea, coffee, and snacks. Bring your favourite writing instrument if you like.
This event is happening in my home in Little Italy near Café San Gennaro. There are two flights of stairs and as a result not wheelchair accessible. There is also a dog and a cat present. The exact address will be sent out the day before the event.
This event is part of understories, a creative laboratory for community innovation by sword fern collective. We are an emotion-centered community engagement organization focused on bridging the gaps between arts, culture and climate action.

Une autre année s’est écoulée. Avec la nouvelle année qui s’annonce, je vous invite à me pour déballer l’année 2024 afin de nous préparer pour l’année 2025. Le moment est venu de se préparer à un nouveau chapitre.
Je m’appelle Victor (il/iel) et je lance cette invitation à tous celleux qui souhaitent me joindre dans YearCompass. Depuis six ans, j’utilise YearCompass, un livret guidé qui vous aide à rà conclure ton année et à planifier la suivante. Oubliez les résolutions de la nouvelle année et rejoignez-moi pour une session YearCompass! YearCompass prend environ 2 heures et est une activité individuelle, mais n’hésitez pas à répondre aux questions du groupe au cours de l’après-midi.
Tout le matériel sera fourni, y compris un livret imprimé, du thé, café et les collations. Apportez votre instrument d’écriture préféré si vous le souhaitez.
Cet événement se déroulera chez moi, dans la Petite Italie, près du Café San Gennaro. Il y a deux étages et n’est donc pas accessible aux fauteuils roulants. Un chien et un chat sont également présents. L’adresse exacte sera communiquée la veille de l’événement.
Cet événement fait partie de understories, un laboratoire créatif pour l’innovation communautaire par le collectif sword fern. Nous sommes une organisation d’engagement communautaire centrée sur l’émotion et visant à combler le fossé entre les arts, la culture et l’action climatique.
